Smart locks & access control in Ocoee, FL

A smart lock is only as good as the door it goes on. We check the fit first, install and pair the lock, and set up codes and apps with you standing there — so it works when we leave, not “mostly works”.

What’s included

  • Keypad and app-controlled deadbolts installed, paired to your phone, and tested on every code.
  • A door-fit check before anything is drilled — even brand-new doors west of the 429 come with builder bores and thicknesses that don’t always match the lock you bought. If the door needs alignment first, that’s quoted separately and honestly.
  • Rental and household setups: your own code per tenant or cleaner, your phone stays the master. Popular with the commuter landlords who rent out the subdivisions along Ocoee-Apopka Road.
  • Multi-generational households: a keypad for the grandparents who don’t want another app, phone control for everyone else.
  • Mechanical locks that stay get rekeyed to match — one plan for the whole house.

What moves the price

  • Door prep — alignment or drilling beyond the standard bore.
  • The hardware you pick: keypad-only, Wi-Fi deadbolt, or a full fob-and-app system.
  • Extra doors on the same visit — the second and third install cost less than the first.

Typical range: $130–$250 per install; the hardware itself is priced separately. The full number — hardware, install, setup — is agreed before we start.

Quick answers

Will a smart lock fit my door?

Usually, yes. Even new construction occasionally has unusual bore sizes or door thickness, and any warped frame needs alignment before a lock — smart or not — will seal properly. We check before we drill, and we’ll tell you if your door is the rare one that won’t take it.

What happens when the battery dies?

Every lock we install has either a 9V contact backup or a physical key override — we set that up with you and show you how it works before we leave. Low-battery warnings start well before the lock goes quiet.

Do I need Wi-Fi for it to work?

Keypad codes and physical keys work without any internet. Wi-Fi (or a hub) only adds the remote features — locking from your phone, codes for cleaners, activity logs. We’ll set up exactly the level you want.

Which brands can you install?

The major keypad and Wi-Fi deadbolts sold at the big-box stores all install the same way. Tell us the model you bought — or call first and we’ll suggest two honest options at different prices.

Can you take a smart lock off and put a regular one back?

Yes — removal, a standard cylinder install and a rekey to match the house is a straightforward visit. Renters do it at move-out; owners do it when the app gets old.

Thinking about keyless?

One call, two honest options, one clean install.
